The City of Austin, in partnership with Capital Metro, AISD and Leadership Austin, has launched a new initiative called Conversation Corp. http://www.atxtalks.org/
Conversations will begin Friday, March 20. This first round will consist of 12 conversations over the course of two weeks, at varied times of day, all around town. The topic will be "How can Conversation Corps add value to our community?" We'll be seeking input from participants about the value of this program and the issues they'd like to see as future conversation topics. The partnering organizations will then use this feedback to map out monthly topics based on both their needs and the community's desires.
What is Conversation Corps?
Conversation Corps gives individuals the opportunity to participate in important conversations about issues affecting our community. Each month we’ll bring a conversation to your area, led by a volunteer host who wants to hear your voice. We make the arrangements so all you have to do is show up, share your thoughts and listen to the thoughts of others.

Then, we’ll deliver your feedback to the decision makers
behind each issue and give you the resources you need to stay in the loop and
hear how your input affected decisions. Come put your ideas on the table -
We’ve saved a seat for you!
